So, just wondering how many folks out there are going to rv in their retirement? That seems to be the journey we will be taking. There are an endless amount of places you can see and enjoy, if you do not mind living in an rv. You would not have to pay property tax, so that would be great.
Of course, there will be the dreaded cost of health care, which goes up yearly. But, it is not something we can do without. Why does the retirement plan not include dental and eye care at the most important time of our lives. What if we lose our teeth and cannot see worth a darn? We will have to pay for it ourselves.?????
Sound scary? It might be. However, we will be relaxing and enjoying our days doing more of what we would like to do and less of what is demanded of us.
What scares you about retirement? Or does not scare you about it?

Well, where does one begin. As life takes you along, you one day come to a point when you must think about retirement. My husband and I are at this point. We speak about it endlessly and have changed the canvas of what it would look like over and over again. We have finally come to a decision about what and where. Of course, there is always the most important part of retirement and that is the financial consideration. Worse case, should we live for a really long time, will we still have money left over. If not, no worries.
So, this is the beginning. A new journey into our tomorrow. As many others have, we have raised children and have a grandchild. The children should be quite settled by the time we retire in a few years. That is my happiness, knowing they will be on a good path.
Where does our path go? Will it be long? Will it be short? Will we be healthy? Should we begin our own business to occupy our time? What happens if you end up alone? Will we be a burden? Will we be an asset? So many questions to be answered.
Hopefully, this will be a place for all of us future and present retirees to share our thoughts.......
